Inspiration for the Poison Apple Martini
For years we were not home on Halloween night since we were out and about with our littles. This was years ago and we are usually home now, giving out treats and enjoying ourselves with good food and drink while watching the World Series. This year Halloween falls on a Friday evening so I wanted a little something special, and here we are. The Poison Apple Martini was born. I hope you enjoy this creation as much as we do.

How to Make a Poison Apple Martini Cocktail Recipe
When I created this drink recipe I had two criteria. One, I wanted it to taste good, but two, I wanted it to look bad. I read various different recipes and debated between a red or a green apple martini. Back in the day I was an Appletini girl. Remember those fun green drinks? Well, I wanted a moody and broody drink so red apple seemed like a more prudent choice.

Tips & Recommendations for the Poison Apple Martini
Send Chills Down your Spine
Like with any good martini, ice cold is best. If you want to prepare in advance, you can fill the shaker with as many drinks as possible and chill in the refrigerator. This way it’s ready to pour when guests arrive. IIf you shake with ice in the shaker, make sure two strain when poured into individual glasses.

Dark & Dreary
The blackberry liqueur has the dark color, which gives the apple martini the deep bloody color hue. The richly flavored Blackberry Cream has sweet tones which are harmoniously balanced by a touch of typical blackberry acidity. The liqueur is what gives the cocktail a punch. If it’s too much for you, you can always simply add dark food dye to give it a moody darkness. Keep in mind this will alter the flavor profile, and the drink will take on the sweetness of the cranberry apple juice

Rimmed Glasses
Rimmed cocktail glasses add a touch of specialness. They add pretty vibes to the glass, but they also include more flavor to enhance the experience. The gold rimming sugar adds glittery pizazz to the drink. with a tiny sweet note to offset the liqueur. It’s divine. Citrus fruit like lemons and limes are the key way to moisten the lip of the glass to adhere the rimming sugar.
