A quick update to the living room mantel for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.
Remember the early summer mantel I shared here?
I swapped out the sea fan & conch for a patriotic enamel tray and a galvanized watering can decorated with american flags respectively.
Keeping the same composition and design on the mantel made it super easy to update.
I did change out the candelabras with my small lanterns; I thought they had a better Americana vibe.
I added other patriotic details like the liberty metal ribbon and an old baseball from Master Masterpieces.
The vintage bunting I picked up a few months ago from a local craft store that was closing down…I wish I had gotten more.
I also tucked in a mini flag into the cast iron planter as well as an old folded flag between the books and lantern.
