Behind the Scenes
Where I share personal anecdotes, insider doings, and a peak behind the curtain of the Master”Pieces” of my Life blog. I hope information about me as a person will bring connection and a closer virtual relationship.
Life Lately
Our Valentine’s Day celebration at home was totally hijacked by a visit to the ER and a major traffic jam on the way home. I’m happy to say all my people are ok, but unfortunately we didn’t make it back home until about 9:30PM.
My Original Plan (starting 6 pmish):
- Cocktails: Champagne
- Hors d’oeuvres: Caviar Station & Italian Antipasto
- Appetizer: Stuffed Clam
- Entree: Shrimp Scampi over Angel Hair pasta & Materazo Salad
- Wine: Pouilly-Fumé
- Dessert: Mini Cannolis, Belgian chocolate hearts & Coffee
What Actually Happened:
- Cocktails: French 75 & Vodka on the Rocks
- Appetizer: Stuffed Clam
- Entree: Materazo Salad
Things could be worse, let’s leave it at that. At least, I enjoyed my roses.
Wellness Journey
I underwent the second medical infusion for my new MS treatment. This completes the first dosage, and I won’t do this again for another 6 months. I read somewhere it might take up to 12 weeks for the effects to be absorbed into my body. I take it one day at a time, and time will tell.
In the meantime I’ve been intentional about my wellness choices. This includes an exercise routine and dietary mindfulness. More on this in subsequent newsletters.
My MS Cliff Notes: I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in my late twenties {1994} when I had an episode of optic neuritis. My eyesight regained quickly, and I remained asymptomatic most of my life until I didn’t. In late 2021 I had a break through episode, which provided my latest diagnosis. My main symptom currently is walking stamina. I can get around marginally and I still drive etc., but it’s all in an edited fashion. If you are interested you can read my whole story here {My prognosis & Living with MS}.

The St. Patrick’s Day Holiday on March 17th is somehow a global phenomenon which is celebrated far and wide in many different fashions. Easter is not far behind in the beginning of April.
Trends & Insights
Lifestyle
2026 Lifestyle Trends
- Longevity (think healthspan not just lifespan)
- GLP-1 Movement (think nutritional mindfulness amidst dietary medical options)
- Mental & Brain Fitness (think neural and cognitive focus)
- Snack-sized Work-outs (think lighter & shorter physical activity on a consistent basis)
- Communal Based Wellness (think group & class activities)
When I read lists like this I always find much of it sounds like common sense. It’s interesting all these trends involve physical and mental wellness, which to me says people are over stressed, over taxed and over exposed, which leads to concerns about overall well being. The shift should be on slowing down, doing less and enjoying more. Just me? What are your thoughts?
AI Style
I spoke about the AI trend briefly last time and today I just wanted to share a fun project using AI. We all know AI isn’t going anywhere so let’s lean into it and have some fun. Find a favorite image of your home and let’s transform it into a piece of art. A homespun masterpiece if you will. You can create different looks by the prompts you give AI. I used ChatGPT (but you can probably use any AI platform), with the following prompts and uploaded this image of my home:
Prompt: Create an old fashioned illustration from image with vintage fairy tale glow and scrolls from an old book style
AI Title: Charming Cottage Garden Illustration
Prompt: Create an old fashioned illustration from image with vintage fairy tale and scrolls from an old book style using color
AI Title: Whimsical Cottage Garden with Vintage Charm
Prompt: Create an oil painting from image with Impressionism style
AI Title: Garden Serenity in Evening Light
How fun is that? Use whatever style you want to prompt AI to create an image you would prefer. Ask for a watercolor version or a Frank Lloyd Wright rendition. The possibilities are endless. Enjoy friends.
