Happy Saint Patrick’s day.
I was inspired by the holiday to create this lucky banner.
As I shared here there’s no Irish in our family in any direction (that we are aware of anyway) but I still love to celebrate life!
I created a little vignette on my mother’s secretary hutch to be in the spirit of things.
I would love to say that we’re going to a fun, crazy party but instead we will be attending a meeting for Master M’s Washington DC/NYC trip over spring break and running Miss M back-n-forth to her cheer practice.
Exciting, huh?
I’m not complaining at all!
I love being a mother and having these responsibilities because I am all too aware that our children will be gone and out of the house before I know it.
Master M starts high school next year and I’m already slightly freaking out that he’ll be off to college sooner rather than later.
So right now I find myself very lucky to have these little (not so little anymore) people around me.
That’s why I love little projects like this “lucky us” mini book I created years ago. (you can see all the pages here).
It’s a little time capsule of a snapshot in time.
sláinte! cheers! salud!

Mary Jo, your banner is so cute! Is that striped burlap? Love it, and have never seen it before. I also love your Santos doll. Almost ordered one once and changed my mind at the last minute. It was on sale and I’ve regretted it ever since. 🙂 Yes, enjoy those kiddos while you can! Hubby and I miss those days. Thanks for sharing with SYC.
hugs,
Jann
hi jann- yes, i got the burlap at either michael’s or joann’s with the green stripes. i believe they have other colors too. the santos was a birthday gift from some sweet friends. i’m a lucky girl. love her. xo- mj
