how to decorate for fall using PEARs

I love using organic elements to decorate regardless of the season and in the fall, pears always come to the forefront for me. Today we share decor ideas using pear motifs gin different mediums.

These wooden pears are a recent find at a local decor store and I was smitten from the start. I walked away, since all I could think about were the 8, 10, or maybe 12 bins of fall decor in the attic. But they stuck in my head and alas I ended up going back for something else and some pears were still there so they came home with me before they were all gone. I love them!

I love pears. I love wooden decor. These were perfect for my aesthetic. I placed them on my bombe chest in the front hall to greet all that come through the door, I paired them with other seasonal items and I can progressively add other seasonal decor as the season unfolds. Stay tuned.

The wooden pears might be my newest acquisition, but this set of ceramic pears are the oldest. This set of pears are from Ballard Design close to 20 years ago. I love the color palette. I love the floral-ie toile design.

I added them to the cabinet in the dining room for the season but they usually stay in our master bedroom year round since we have black and gray accents in there. The ceramic pears are rather sleek for my now more rustic style so I added the texture of the organic feathers along with the chippiness of the old shutters to give those organic vibes I love so much.

For a bit of some glam pizzaz champagne glitter pears add some sparkle and shimmer in the living room. I think they were | are Christmas ornaments but I use them as bowl fillers and at place settings in tablescapes.

Beaded fruit have a vintage vibe and the subtle champagne color on these pears has a soft palette but yet the sparkle is a fun surprise.

Fresh pears are always an easy way to inject seasonal decor during the Autumn. Depending on the season different types of fruit work, for Fall pears are quintessential. Apples, pomegranates and figs are also great choices during this time.

Pear candles and fresh flowers in a copper pitcher pair well with the vignette on the kitchen table. You can read more about these Fall elements and color palette in this post {how to start transitioning to fall decor slowly}.

As a final note, copper is also a great accent element for this time of year. You can read more about my thoughts on copper here{copper trend}. There’s also a tablescape, transitioning from summer to fall using copper accents here{cloche seashell tablescape}.

“When bounteous autumn rears her head, he joys to pull the ripened pear.”
