Spring bulbs are always an indication the seasons are about to change over to more sunshine and blooms and time outdoors. This forced spring bulbs tablescape radiates all the spring vibes.
the inspiration for a forced spring bulbs tablescape
The inspiration for the table were not only the bulbs, but also the pretty floral linens and some newly thrifted pewter accent plates. I love how all the greens, blues, gray|silvers come together to set a peaceful and happy table.
The bulbs are a mix of Daffodils planted in pewter pieces while the Narcissus {paperwhites} are forced in glass containers. The bulbs line the center of the table on top of my {chippy shutter centerpiece}.
the pieces to this spring inspired tablescape
The plate stack starts with a cotton gray placemat, which is followed by a galvanized charger. The charger is then followed by a chunky white Portuguese dinner plate and a pewter accent plate. It is topped off by a preserved boxwood wreath, which adds to the spring | garden vibes, and it is all crowned by the criss-crossed silverware.
I recently just used the boxwood wreaths in my {Wedgwood Jasperware St. Patrick’s Day tablescape}. I got the wreaths not too long ago and I can.not get enough of them. You will be seeing them in plenty of projects.

The linens are a recent buy from the store I work at {Whim House}. They are from a company called Natural Habitat and the pattern is Maya. I love the hand block printed design, plus the color palette totally spoke to me, so needless to say I was totally smitten.
Another recent addition to my table top repertoire are these pewter accent plates {I know, it’s a weakness, but you all understand, right? lol}. I found the pewter plates during my latest thrifting excursion where I also found the silver basket I recently shared here {how to decoupage Easter eggs}.
I only scored four of these fabulous pewter plates but I hope to find additional pieces in the future. Even if they don’t match exactly it’s ok since I love to mix and match my table top pieces. I love pewter and these plates are old-school and very well made. They are marked “Pewter” on the back and the maker is the Colonial Casting Co. in Meriden, Connecticut.
The color of the spring green ball jars compliment the boxwoods, linens and bulbs themselves, which I absolutely love. Green is my favorite color and the color of these green ball jars just scream cheeriness to me.
the spring bulbs are a sign of the new growth getting ready to sprout
The weather in California has been giving us spring vibes for awhile now and I have already started working on some projects outside. I love the anticipation a new season brings.
Bulbs have popped up outside in our front yard. I can’t wait to share them with you and I am super excited for the first day of spring in a few days and all the things it will bring.
“The first blooms of spring always make my heart sing.”
