So Many Ways to DIY your own Easter Eggs – There’s Something for Everybody
Regarding DIYing your own seasonal decor, the best part is that you can put your own personal spin on it. You can apply your own color scheme or design etc.; truly making it your own and coordinating it to your personal style and decor. I always say everyone has a signature style, and you want it to come through in your seasonal decor. It’s so much better than mass produced merchandise lacking personal charm and personality.

Pressed Florals
Neutral colored eggs with white and yellow flowers are used here, but you can adapt the project to your preferences. Colorful eggs can be used as the base or vibrant flowers can be applied. Pressed flowers from your yard would be fabulous and incredibly personal to decorate Easter eggs, reflecting the outside, inside your home for the season.
Oval Frames
Use inexpensive oval picture frames and turn them into an Easter egg trend forward decor piece. These charming Easter egg treasures start as inexpensive oval picture frames. By using some paint and ribbons gives them a new lease on life as charming and unique Easter egg decor.
Oval Trays
This starts as inexpensive plastic Dollar Tree trays and ends up like an Easter egg DIY decor trend forward seasonal accent. It’s a fantastic transformation which can be personalized to your own style. Use colors and patterns which compliment your style and home aesthetic to decorate the egg. The key is for the Easter egg(s) to fit into your home interior design seamlessly.
Flower Petals
These were super fun to make, and I love how they came out. I made a hydrangea and a hyacinth egg, but you can pick any flower petal, in any color. Most of the supplies came from the Dollar Tree so the project didn’t cost much, just simply some time.
Paper Napkins Decoupage
This is a fantastic way to decorate eggs with an intricate pattern that you can select yourself. I used paper mache eggs for this project, but you can use other mediums like wooden eggs, plastic eggs, etc. Paper napkins are a great resource for this project but other options include, tissue paper, decorative rice paper, and thin wrapping paper.

Vintage Sheet Music Decoupage
These sheet music decoupaged eggs are one of my oldest projects, and I still pull them out years later. Plastic eggs left over from my kids’ Easter egg hunts when they were littles were the perfect foil. And this is why I save stuff. Some call it hoarding, I simply call it being prepared. Vintage sheet music is something I pick up at thrift stores regularly, because I love to use it in so many projects.

German Glass Glitter
Ok, German Glass Glitter is one of those mediums that instantly makes anything look regal, and timeless and beautiful. This was a Pottery Barn dupe project several years ago, and I still love to bring these beauties out every Easter season.
Moss
As much as I love the glitter glam vibes, I love, love the moss rustic and organic vibes too. These large moss Easter eggs always look great in our cast iron urns, but I have also used them in a dough bowl or in a crate or in any vessel really. I love all the organic feels moss brings to the party every time!
Colored Paint
Painting faux eggs is a super easy way to transform them. After the paint dries you can embellish them as you wish. I do not have a tutorial for this project since this was before I was blogging with intention. I actually made these for my booth when I was a vintage dealer. They sold out, so unfortunately I do not have any left.

Chalkboard Paint
I don’t have a tutorial for this idea either, but simply covering craft eggs with chalkboard paint lends itself to so many looks. You can write words, letters or numbers on them, or you can write names as place cards at an Easter table or they are great if you have littles at the table so they can draw & doodle their own designs. The options are only limited by your imagination.

I have a new Easter egg DIY coming your way next week so make sure to stop by and check it out. I hope everyone is enjoying some spring like weather. If that’s not the case where you live, then create a spring like home inside.
