Beach Vibe Inspired Tablescape

Beach inspired tablescape

As summer time slows down and the temps start to turn just a bit towards the upcoming fall season it creates the prefect climate to sit outside and linger longer. My favorite time of day at the beach is when the day comes to a close, dusk is on the horizon and the temperature dips. Most people leave the beach around this time, and it becomes a serene and relaxing time space. With just a few details a table styling can bring the beach life to your home with a serene, summertime beach setting.

Small and special details can easily create the beach vibes on a table setting. We have been enjoying our outdoor spaces more now that the temperature has started to dip. As I mentioned above, the sea shell napkin ring DIY was a big inspiration for this table setting, which you can view all the details and tutorial here {sea shell napkin ring DIY}. .

Beachy feels and coastal vibes are perfect for setting a festive summertime table styling. Although Autumn is eminent, there’s plenty of summer to go around. I’m basking in the sunshine, and here we are.

It’s ideal to set a beach inspired table outside. The same details and effect can be used inside, but dining al fresco is always such a fabulous experience. This tablescape is set on our back patio for an intimate party of four.

Of course the sea shell napkins rings are the belle of the ball (not to sound like a broken record), but I also love the mix of metals with the galvanized chargers and pewter accent plates. Metals are a great choice for outdoor tabletop; other smart choices include enamelware, wooden pieces and wicker.

The place setting items are simple and understated, allowing the mini sand bucket place cards to stand out. These place cards can be easily created at home, and I will be sharing more about DIY place cards soon to help you set personalized and stylish tables at home.

The centerpiece has a collection of pieces to reinforce the beach inspired theme. A sea shell bowl is piled high with sea shells, paired with a wooden sail boat, which I thrifted recent. You can read all about it here {The Many Benefits of Thrifting}. Scattered sea shells and a wooden lantern complete the look.

Sea shells and other sea life always bring a beach-y coastal style to design. The sea shell motif is repeated throughout the table design to reinforce the theme. Sea shells are included in the napkin rings, silver shell bowl, lantern, place card buckets, votives and more. Sea shell necklaces are scattered throughout the table and wrapped around the lantern.

Nautical touches also compliment a beach styling. The small wooden sail boat is a simple piece but it works hand in hand with the coastal and beach mood. Other options you can use include nautical rope, buoys, sea netting, light houses, and more.

The mini pail place cards are used to provide a sandy beach feel. Mini beach buckets are filled with sea shells and a beach inspired place setting name card. The cards are printed and folded on a popsicle stick which is easily inserted in the mini pails.

There’s about a month of summer time goodness left, and I am planning to enjoy as much of it as I can. Tables like this elevate simple meals with some attention to simple details. Hoping this inspires you to set a table with some beachy vibes for some fun entertaining.

Ms. M has headed back to Boulder to start her Junior year, which is the first sign around here that fall is around the corner. I miss her dearly already. Fall is my favorite season so I always look forward to everything it brings and embrace it full force. There’s some fantastic fall content scheduled and coming your way.

Have you already turned the corner into Fall feels or are you holding on to summer’s lazy days? I am always conflicted around this time of year, and consequently straddle the fence. It keeps things interesting around here.
