MJ Insider Craft Pro Tip:

Read all the instructions through once. Then re-read everything again. Familiarize yourself with everything you need & know what to expect.

When burning candles always practice the upmost caution and discretion. Use the proper materials, which in this case involves utilizing an appropriate fireproof and heat resistant container for the candle sand wax to rest in. Do not burn the candle unattended or leave open flame in drafty areas. Extinguish the flame properly and promptly when done using the candle. Keep you wick at 1/4 inch above the wax for optimal results. Since this candle making process does not involve melting hot wax, it’s the perfect project for all ages- involve the kids!

The beautiful thing about candle sand wax is that it can be personalized and customized. The sand wax is available in varied colors plus dyes can be used to create different custom color ways. Essential oils and fragrances can be use to add pleasant aromas. The ease of use allows for experimentation and minimizes mess. A multitude of containers can be used with sand wax without leaving residue or sticking to the sides if used properly. This opens up an incredible door to decor creativity. Make it uniquely yours!

MJ Insider Decor Pro Tip:

Create an ombre effect with your favorite color palette using gradient shades of sand wax.
Make an interesting pattern using your favorite decor and accent colors.
Form a rainbow of sorts for a fun and cheerful effect.

Use themed or holiday colors for specific seasons.
Remember plain white granules provide a timeless and classic look.

Use multiple wicks if container is wider than 3 to 4 inches to provide the best burn experience. When you’re finished using the candle, extinguish the flame. Once the wax has cooled and hardened, remove both the wick and the solidified wax. The unused sand can be stored and reused at a later date. If you want to continue using the same container, simply add more sand to bring it to level and insert a new wick. It doesn’t get easier than that!

The candle sand wax I used came tightly packaged. If you have left over sand wax after use, simply place in an airtight container or sealed ziplock bag, storing for future use. There is minimal wax waste, allowing the wax to be reused over and over to save on candle materials and expense.

Warning:

Do not leave a burning open flame candle unattended. Do not burn open flame candles near children and / or pets.
