Do not burn the candle unattended or leave open flame in drafty areas. Extinguish the flame properly and promptly when done using the candle. Keep you wick at 1/4 inch above the wax for optimal results. Since this candle making process does not involve melting hot wax, it’s the perfect project for all ages- involve the kids!

Make an interesting pattern using your favorite decor and accent colors.
Form a rainbow of sorts for a fun and cheerful effect.
Use themed or holiday colors for specific seasons.
Remember plain white granules provide a timeless and classic look.
Candle Etiquette
Use multiple wicks if container is wider than 3 to 4 inches to provide the best burn experience. When you’re finished using the candle, extinguish the flame. Once the wax has cooled and hardened, remove both the wick and the solidified wax. The unused sand can be stored and reused at a later date. If you want to continue using the same container, simply add more sand to bring it to level and insert a new wick. It doesn’t get easier than that!
Storage Solutions
The candle sand wax I used came tightly packaged. If you have left over sand wax after use, simply place in an airtight container or sealed ziplock bag, storing for future use. There is minimal wax waste, allowing the wax to be reused over and over to save on candle materials and expense.
Warning:
Do not leave a burning open flame candle unattended. Do not burn open flame candles near children and / or pets.
