yup, so almost two months into the new year and not a single blog post. not good. hopefully it’s not a sign of things to come since i always aspire to be a better blog keeper.
Anyway the year started with our first bathroom remodel at the house. happy day! So we had to part with our mauve-ish pink speckled (yes you read right) tile….

Parting is such sweet sorrow… and I was convinced this was the original bathroom. The house was built in 1964 and I can’t fathom what era after that this was ever fashionable but oh, no we found tucked away behind the toilet some purdy wallpaper…
So clearly the bathroom was REmodeled to the above. Really??!!??

Clearly it’s not totally done. I still have to decorate and the contractor has to do some final adjustments but you get the picture. I LOVE it! It’s great to see our vision become real. It feels so clean & airy. The kids are very excited as well and they’re a tiny, teensy bit better about keeping clean and tidy. Baby steps.
So of course January always goes out with a bang celebrating Sebastian’s birthday. This year…NINE!!! I can’t believe it. So he chose to celebrate it with 20 plus friends at the bowling alley. Very, VERY fun.
