Twenty Ten.
I love the sound of it. I love how it has started off. And I’m excited to see what this year brings with it. Here’s a peek at how 2009 wrapped up for us.
We started by getting a Christmas tree in November this year. Can you believe it? It’s a first for us but it was just how the calendar landed.
And up it went and it started to look a lot like Christmas…

So much like Christmas that it actually snowed for us here in Danville, CA.

I know it’s a smallish blanket of snow but hey, the kids got to make snowballs at school (nope not a snow day) and Matt had to somewhat unbury his car and the best part about it? It didn’t involved any shoveling.
And of course we visited the man himself.

Then grandma & grandpa came to visit and the season of merriment started. we had Christmas celebrations at school.

We had our party at home, which I never take pictures at ‘cuz I’m always so busy socializing and hostessing and drinking and just having a good time in the moment. The only proof I have are the invitations you see above.
Then we had a great Christmas eve with just family. Cioppino was the entree this year. Clearly I was busy cooking and not taking pictures. We were all pretty exhausted since this is the culmination of a few weeks of frenzy.

Then comes Christmas day. Family, friends, food and fun! I love kicking back on Christmas day and taking it all in.

And one of the more exciting news of december 2009….Sebastian lost his first tooth!!! Finally. we’ve been waiting forever to the point his adult tooth is already half way out behind the tooth that fell out. He won’t even have an awkward gap. The dentist assured us the tooth would just move forward into position and sure enough he was right. Don’t ask about his top dead tooth (hence the yellowish tint) or the silver cap on the bottom or the chapped face under his bottom lip. Believe it or not Sebastian is a fairly healthy kid and with this tooth fairy he’s gonna be a rich kid!

We finished the year by hosting our last get together with some friends & it was very fun. Fun for the kids, fun for the grown ups, fun all around but I have to honestly say I was exhausted of entertaining at home. It was a very busy holiday season and although I wouldn’t change a thing and i would do it all over again, I was tired.

Good friends = good times. and ending it with the favorite self portrait; gotta say it was a good year.
Hi MJ! Glad to see you back on the blog. Looks like you had a great holiday season and got waaay more snow than we did on the other side of the hill.
Apparently you have come to realize that Michael Jackson really is dead.
Love the new blog and pics. Seb and Lexi on Christmas morning is priceless. And everyone who made it to your party can back me up that it was a super fun night! I can’t wait to see what 2010 brings. Plenty of laughs and good times, I’m sure!
