Pearls are a big theme for my Christmas decor this year. Not sure how or why but I’’m inspired to sprinkle pearls in our Christmas decor this year. And here we are. I have a few other ideas, which incorporate pearls for the Christmas season. Stay tuned….

I love the fluffiness the loopy yarn brings to the party, adding all the snowy vibes. You could stop there for a simple look fulll of texture. Adding the pearls is an unexpected touch, which provides a touch of luxe and a bit of glam.

Crafting Pro Tip: Read all the instructions through once and then re-read everything again. This way, you are familiar with everything you need and know what to expect.

Craft Warning: Please proceed with caution when handling a hot glue gun.  Silicone finger protectors are highly recommended.  Maintain personal discretion and responsibility at your own risk.

The loopy yarn is what adds the texture and character to the Christmas tree craft. The foam cone used here is 16 inches tall and one roll covered the form perfectly. This is the loopy yarn I used, which comes in a variety of colors. You can create a family of trees in various heights and colors. You can also match your other Christmas decor or interior design aesthetic. Make it yours.

I did not include a base for this tree, which allows the freedom to place it on different surfaces to create a different look. You could create a tree trunk effect with a wooden candle stick or even by foraging a trunk piece in your yard or a park. Personally I like the profile of this tree without a base, but do what feels right for you and your personal style.

Like mentioned above the yarn comes in many colors, which provides options and personalization to your own style. Beyond that you can use other accents besides pearls. Vintage brooches would look amazing or small jingle bells add retro vibes. The jingle bells would also add a joyful sound when the tree is moved. When more than one sense is touched by something, the impact is affected exponentially.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas…. snowy trees are iconic for the Christmas season. This loopy yarn tree gives all the driven snow vibes. I’m envisioning a tree forest of varied white and ivory trees as a Christmas vignette. This tree is full of plushness and texture, which can stand alone as a focal accent as well. The possibilities are endless and you will see it soon decked out for the Holiday season. Plus it can be displayed into the new year as a winter time accent.

Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? I haven’t officially started decorating yet, but I have completed a few projects like this in preparation. I have a list of ideas and I can’t wait to get started after Thanksgiving. I’m a holiday purist and want to enjoy the Thanksgiving festivities before flipping the page to Christmas. I know some folks see family and friends during Thanksgiving, which they might not necessarily see on Christmas so they combine the two. I totally get it and love that.

Enjoy the season with your people no matter how and when you celebrate. Thanks for dropping by today and looking forward to seeing you next time.  Au revoir!
