Where I share personal anecdotes, insider doings, and a peak behind the curtain of the Masterpieces of my Life blog. I hope information about me as a person will bring connection and a closer virtual relationship.

Saint Patrick’s Day landed on a Tuesday and we celebrated at home with Shepherd’s Pie, which has become a tradition over the past few years. It’s super yummy and an ultimate comfort food dish.

And in other news, and way more important news in my opinion, the furry baby of the family, Misty, turned 3 on March 20th. She is spoiled rotten and brings so much life into our lives and home.

March is Multiple Sclerosis Awareness month, focusing on educating the public, supporting the afflicted and advancing research. I pray for advancements on the daily. I’m lucky and blessed the progression seems to be in check, I just want to fix what’s broken.

To stay strong through my MS journey, I’m being intentional about my wellness choices, including physical fitness routine, dietary mindfulness and mental health. I will share more details on what this all looks like in next month’s newsletter.

My MS Cliff Notes: I was first diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in my late twenties {1994} when I had an episode of optic neuritis. My eyesight regained quickly, and I remained asymptomatic most of my life until I didn’t. In late 2021 I had a break through episode, which provided my latest diagnosis. My main symptom currently is walking stamina. I can get around marginally and I still drive etc., but it’s all in an edited fashion. If you are interested you can read my whole story here {My prognosis & Living with MS}.

March’s content included a mix of Spring, Easter and St. Patrick’s Day inspiration plus much more. The clocks sprung forward and the Spring Equinox is behind us. In case you missed anything…

The month of April kicks off with the Easter holiday on the 5th and the spring season is full steam ahead. Thoughts drift towards outdoor living, revived gardens and doses of sunshine. I’m looking forward to all of it. In Northern California we have been enjoying fabulous weather and we’re prepping our outdoor spaces.

Let’s talk about something a bit different around here, BUT totally fun. Fashion. It’s always fascinating and the trends tend to be over the top. Traditionally fashion has originated in Milan, moving to New York and finally reaching the west coast to LA and San Francisco. The thing is, fashion invariably affects home design, jumping from the runway into interior spaces. Colors, textures, silhouettes and more all affect design whether in our closets or in our living rooms. Let’s take a peek…

According to Vogue here are some key Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Trends:

Overall the trends follow a soft, relaxed elegance with lots of movement, layering and easy sophistication. And although there’s plenty of draping, relaxed silhouettes, and flourishes there still remains a touch of tailoring with literary chic looks and utility dressing functionality. There’s really something for everyone if you peel back the onion from Sporty Spice looks to more polished professional ensembles and everything in between. You do you, and wear what makes you feel good about yourself.

And the same goes for your home. Your home should be a sanctuary, bringing you comfort. Surround yourself with things that bring you joy and make your space a happy place.
