..and came home with this.

Seriously?!?!  I know I’m not alone here.  Who hasn’t gone into Target for a few necessities and ended up going down the shopping rabbit hole?
I ended up in the Christmas section because I wanted to check out their pre-lit trees for the front porch.   And although I didn’t find the type of tree I’m looking for, I found plenty else.

Well, first I grabbed the holiday wreath, which I have a plan for and once I broke the seal by picking up one item…the flood gates opened up.

Although Master & Miss Masterpiece are teenagers and are fully aware the jolly man in the red suit is really mom & dad, I still refuse to utter the words and will never admit it to them.   I play the “you gotta believe” game.

So that being said, I cannot use my handwriting on the tags, which is a dead give away.  I used the computer for a few years but then Master Masterpiece found my open file of tags on my laptop one year so that was a bust.  So now I  use specific colors|wrapping paper for each kid with no labels.

So navy & gold for Master Masterpiece and white & gold for Miss Masterpiece it is this year.  At first I was going to wait and get it later but then I decided to start early and besides next time i’m at Target it might all be gone.  You never know.  I still have to go back because the rolls of wrapping paper for these collections weren’t out yet, only the gift bags, tissue & boxes.

So now I’m all in a festive mood and shopped some candy stocking stuffers and picked up some decor.

I saw the truck when I first walked into the store on an endcap display and thought about it but kept going.  After spending too much time in the back of the store in the seasonal section where I filled up my shopping cart I decided what the heck & picked it up on the way out.  I’m glad I did because it was a reasonable price for the size and quality plus I love the color!

And so it begins! have you started your Christmas shopping?  I love this time of year.
