So I’m not a digital scrapbooker by any means & don’t ever want to loose the tactile part of the craft but the computer sure is handy. When I first started scrapping, when Sebastian was born back in 2002, I used the computer to journal ALL the time. I didn’t want to use my own handwriting & “ruin” the page. We all know we’ve come a long way from that place & I hand journal most of the time now. I also used the computer to make certain accents etc. since I had knowledge of computer graphics from my professional life in marketing. Anyway, my point is that I’m willing to start dabbling in digital scrapbooking in its true sense. I’m going to give myself a few months to play with the freebies & tutorials you can find all over the place on-line. After that I will assess my situation & maybe join one of Jessica Spargue’s classes. she’s so helpful without being in one of her classes, I can just imagine the wealth of information she must provide in class.
So the point of this post? My header is a digital compostion from some freedies I acquired yesterday on Computerscrapbook. I wanted to give credit, where credit is due. Check them out, they have a ton of cool stuff & I added a bunch to my digital collection for free. Truly free. Not buy 5 of these & you get 1 of these free. i think i downloaded a dozen different items, from pages, to elements, to alphas. Anyway, please be gentle about my header design. It’s my first attempt with digital product & I’m brave to post it for all the world to see. (‘cuz I know I have blog readers all over the world ; ).
Looks great mj! You won’t be sorry. That’s really the direction that I’m moving. 🙂 I have to add, that Jessica Sprague’s classes are super, super helpful. I had absolutely no knowledge when I started. The knowledge you gain, and the freebies you get are worth waaaaay more than the cost of the class. If you’re interested in signing up for her Up & Running Class, the signups are monday (but I also have a 10% off coupon that I’m allowed to share ~ so let me know and I’ll pass it on to you!)
Love the new banner—very nice
