This is my Masterpiece knock off ; ) of some glass glitter pumpkins from Pottery Barn.
I love German glass glitter and I fell in love with these pumpkins as soon as I saw them in my local pottery barn store.

II did not love the price tags so much though.
So what’s a girls to do?
Well, pull out her German glass glitter and get to work, that’s what.
I bought these plastic & foam pumpkins at the dollar store in varied sizes and collected some branch pieces to use as stems and created my own.
You can see additional ways I’ve transformed other dollar tree pumpkins here.
I started by spray painting the pumpkins with silver spray paint to establish a good base and prevent the bright colors to peak through the glitter.
Next I used spray adhesive to add a layer of silver glitter.
I added a layer of basic glitter first since I did not have that much German glass glitter left.
I let the first glitter layer dry for a few hours in between and then after the glass glitter layer I let all the glitter set over night.
{all the above steps are best done outside because of the fumes and mess; just my 2 cents~trust me}
The next day I hot glued the stems to the pumpkins and started to play.
A dough bowl and dried hydrangeas.
You really can’t go wrong, right?
Then I added some of the faux white pumpkins I created with dollar tree pumpkins a few years ago.
They mix and match well together.
And although I would have preferred to have used all glass glitter since I think the look would have been different better, I’m still pretty happy considering what it cost and the amount of time & energy it took.
I love the texture they add plus a bit of bling.
“She who leaves a trail of glitter is never forgotten.”
