I enjoy creating my own seasonal decor, and the Dollar Tree is a great resource for supplies. When I spied this package of wired garland ties, they immediately jumped into my cart.

I knew how I wanted to use them and they did not disappoint. Beyond that they allow so much room for creativity and customization. You can’t beat the price, it’s the easiest technique ever and they look amazing.

These wired garland pieces make the perfect circle ring. I shared them recently in our Festive Pink Christmas Table Setting. The garland formed in a circle makes the ideal napkin ring.

Simply wrap the wire around itself creating a circle. That’s it. The wire is strong and sturdy, which creates a secure bond. That.is.it! You don’t need glue or twine or ties or anything at all! You can use the plain garland rings as is or you can embellish it further. Let’s take a look at how easy, and fun, this is.

The garland napkin ring form can stand on its own with classic simplicity or you can embellish it to your heart’s content. Here are some ideas on how to use these garland napkin rings.

Like I said, plain and simple is elegant and timeless. You can stop there for an easy minimalist look. But we all know I am seldom a minimalist, although I appreciate the aesthetic.

The wire alone lends itself to so many possibilities, making easy to attach and embellish in so many ways. Simply open the end of the wire a bit to slide whatever decoration detail you want to add, and then wrap it close again.

Mini Christmas ornaments add a special touch. The great thing is that depending on what ornaments you choose, you can create a different vibe. You can add a rustic look or a glam vibe, whatever your table design desires.

I included mini mercury glass ornaments here, which add a bit of sparkle and vintage feels. I am still working on our Christmas eve table design so all these possibilities are helpful.

Besides Christmas ornaments you could also add jingle bells for an old fashioned jolly Christmas look. I also love that they create a bit of noise as guests add the napkins on their laps, creating a festive sound.

Small details like the slight jingle of bells adds another layer of merriment, which probably goes unnoticed but is felt nonetheless. Sounds of all sorts of bells is a happy sound during the holiday season.

Ribbons always add that last great detail. Since bows are having their moment this year, I added a bow to the napkin ring but you could simply create a loop or a knot. Also the color and finish of ribbon you choose can coordinate your table top theme.

This rust red crushed velvet ribbon is the perfect shade of red for our Christmas decor. Red is used in a very edited fashion around here, and I really love the look of this ribbon.

Beyond a garland napkin ring the circle form also evokes visions of the cutest little wreath. Once again the mini wreath can be dressed up in many ways for different looks.

Topiaries are a favorite of mine so I made mini individual wreath topiaries. I love the look, and I think this might be a winner for our Christmas table.

I’m loving the look of the little wreath topiary tucked in the faux Wedgwood Jasperware pots I made a few months ago. Like I said I’m feeling the Christmas Eve table vibe coming together.

You can take it a step further and use the wreath as a place setting name card. Place cards always elevate table settings, making them a bit more special.

If you don’t want to use a pot, you can tuck the place card into the wreath and simply place it on the plate stack or above the place setting.

These petite wreaths make the simplest and easiest little ornaments. You can add a ribbon or any other embellishment to jazz it up. Once again the ribbon can match the theme of your tree coordinating the look.

The wreath can hang right on a tree branch or you can use the ribbon to hang it on the tree. Hooks are not necessary.

These make super easy and affordable gift toppers. You can hang the mini wreath on a package or the handle of a gift bag with a pretty ribbon. It’s super simple but adds that extra oomph to gift giving.

These would also be cute hangers on a bottle off wine or plant, which are always great hostess gifts.

I provide a few alternatives for each way I’m using the wire garlands, but the options are limitless. Put your own twist (no pun intended) on the basic concept, coordinating with your style and decor. Make them yours.

If you use them at place settings on a table, you could also make these a favor, which each guest could take home with them. It’s a thoughtful touch which folks could use in their own home.
