Hi friends!?I am so glad you’re here today since I am sharing our Christmas mantel decor for the season.?I used three main motifs weaved throughout the styling, including organic touches, velvety ribbons and brass bells.?Come on in.
The fireplace is the focal point in the living.?The living room is the first room to the right of the foyer when you enter our home, which puts the fireplace mantel in the straight-line of sight for our guests.?This prompts me to style the mantel seasonally throughout the year.

inspiration for the Christmas mantel
The fresh garland and dried orange slices add the natural, organic feels, which are so simple but also rich at the same time.?Brass bell garlands are the perfect compliment to the cedar branches.?I have been crushing on bells for the last several years and I use them throughout my Christmas decor.
Another thing I have been using often in my decor is velvet ribbon.?It has a casual look, but at the same time evokes luxury.?Such a complex mix of emotions, which I absolutely love.?I added a few different varieties in this Christmas mantel.?
details of the Christmas mantel styling
The gilded gold mirror and thrifted gold frames are always the backdrop for our mantel stylings, setting the stage.?I got the Noel stocking hangers from Pottery Barn over twenty years ago when we were newlyweds and I have used them every year since.?Here are some that are very similar if you like the look.?
I wanted to use a fresh garland this year and originally I thought it would sit on the mantel, but as I started to play, I draped it around the mirror and liked it.?Then I layered the bell garlands on top of the fresh cedar.?It’s such a classic Christmas look.?If you are liking bells too, here is a similar garland or here is another option.
Mismatched thrifted silver candle sticks march down the mantel, weaving in and out of the frames.?Flanking each end of the mantel sit stately cloches.?One cloche holds Christmas baubles while the other holds vintage French books.?
Dried orange slices compliment the organic feels of the fresh cedar garland.?The finishing touches include the velvet ribbons in a variety if colors and sizes.
A large olive green velvet bow with gold trim balances the opposite side of the stockings.?This ribbon would be perfect to create a statement bow like this.
Thin velvet ribbons in gold and green hang loosely off the tall cloche on the other side.?I love all the texture a good velvet ribbon brings to the party.?This is the gold ribbon and the green ribbon I used.
