Pretty in Pink tablescape

This pretty, pink table styling has all the romantic, sweet, shabby chic feels. I love all the soft pinks, textures and designs. This inspired pink tablescape can be use for a Valentine’s day celebration, but it can really be used for any romantic fete.

Pretty in Pink tablescape

This table design was inspired by these sweet pink floral dishes I picked up while thrift shopping. You can read more details here {vintage thrifting – tips&tricks}. As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to create a classically romantic table around them.

The place stack starts with a silver tray charger. These silver trays are also thrift store sourced so each one is a little bit different. I love the interest the little differences create on the table.

The dinner plate and accent salad plate are our wedding china, Lenox Citation Lace. I love that the detail on the edges of the plates is slightly different. This creates another layer of interest.

The muse of the table design, the dainty pink floral thrift plates, tops the plate stack. I love how the porcelain color of the pink floral dishes is between the creaminess that Lenox is known for and the white floral relief on the fluted edges of the plates.

Last, but certainly nor least, is the crown of the plate stack. A linen lace napkin from my parent’s estate is wrapped in a pearl napkin ring.

The accessories of the place settings also include the glassware and flatware. The glassware is an eclectic mix, which if you know me, you know. I always love to mix and match styles. The glass setting includes vintage, etched, gold rimmed water glasses from my parental grandparents. I also included a Waterford wine glass from our wedding registry and a fairly new french champagne flute.

The flatware is all vintage silver curated from thrift shoppes. I found the knife and fork set years, and years ago when I was a vintage consignor with a couple of booths. I recently found the spoons in a thrift shopping trip, and I love how they coordinate so well with the existing set. Once again, I love to mix and match.

You’ll never believe what I used for my centerpiece! These white trees are from the Dollar Tree!!! I bought them with a holiday | winter theme design in mind back a few months ago. Well, I never got to it. So here we are.

As I was putting Christmas away, and I looked at these unused boxes, it hit me. I can use these white trees for so many different themes. I think they would look adorable with hearts for a Valentine’s holiday theme. Easter eggs would look great on these too. Stay tuned.

For this table design I simply added the pink velvet ribbon I used for this vignette {Valentine’s decor vignettes – 3 color ways} to incorporate the trees into the pretty in pink theme.

I added a couple of crystal hurricane candles to add some flicker and ambience to the table. Candlelight is always a special detail at any table setting.

The bases of the white trees are not pretty, but hey, they are dollar tree, so I’m okay with it. I wrapped the bases across the table with vintage linens to hide the ugly bases and blend the pretty into the table.

pretty in pink table design details

The table is set on a crisp white linen table cloth. Plus most of the table details are set in white and creams, which make the soft pinks pop.

The serving pieces also add more of the creams, pinks, and vintage silver to keep the soft shabby chic vibes going.
