I love to style my foyer since it’s the first space my guests are ushered into when they enter my home. The foyer is the first impression of your home, and dressing it up seasonally is a great way to remain on trend. Come on in and see some ideas I am sharing today on a fall foyer styling.

You can read my entire philosophy on how to style an entry way in this post {how to decorate a spring foyer}. Today I will mainly focus on the subtle changes I am making since the official start of fall is upon us.

fall foyer styling goodness
The foyer had an early fall styling, which I shared here {early fall decorating ideas}. Texture and color mainly lead the way into the season.

A collection of velvet pumpkins now deck the front foyer, which pretty much screams “fall is here!!!” I am super jazzed about that by the way, and the bombe chest in the foyer now looks like this.

Fall is by far my favorite season. I don’t know why, but it has always been since I was a little girl. The crispness in the air puts a spring in my step. The smells and colors of the season are amazing.

The mix and mingling for halloween and thanksgiving brings along so much merriment. There are so many fun gatherings and events in a short period of time. I also loved school, so the back to school vibes were always super exciting to me.

New Flowers

First, I replaced the fresh dahlias in the wicker vase with dried hydrangeas from the garden in a large farmhouse pitcher. The limelight hydrangeas have dried to the perfect color and texture. These flowers are from last year, which I have used all year long in many vignettes, but they are perfection for the fall season. I added some branches to the arrangement to create drama and add height.

New Candle

A pumpkin spice scented candle in an amber jar replaced the mercury glass candle. I love for my friends and families to be greeted by a pleasant scent when they walk through the door. It immediately sets welcoming vibes and puts people at ease.

Also the amber jar will be repurposed and added to my collection of amber jars and brown bottles. You can see how I have used them here {early fall mantel} and here {rustic and casual summer tablescape}. I actually have an upcoming mantel styling project coming soon.

New Seasonal Accents

Seasonal touches in the foyer are always changing, keeping the space interesting and different. The wooden pears and vintage books have been replaced with a collection of velvet pumpkins in my favorite fall colors. You can read about ways to transition into Fall using colors and other elements here {how to start transitioning to fall decor slowly}.

fall is a season of warmth & coziness

Fall has amaZing colors, flavors, and traditions. I love all of it, and I am looking forward to sprinkling more fall magic throughout the house.

“And the sun took a step back, the leaves lulled themselves to sleep and autumn was awakened.”

Thanks so much Deb. Your are so sweet and I always love visiting your place. Happy Fall! XO- MJ
Don’t you love it when a piece of furniture is the perfect place to decorate?
Now I have cats. Amazing how high Charleigh can climb.
I know! Cats are tricky that way. We have dogs so I don’t have that problem necessarily but there’s other stuff with dogs. But we love our furry family members! XO- MJ
