red, white and blue popsicle prosecco refresher

patriotic popsicle prosecco refresher

I have a fun and refreshing beverage for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.  Summertime is in full swing and it is HOT, making this patriotic popsicle prosecco refresher the perfect drink to help with the festivities.

Enjoy this great summer treat from our archives. It is super easy but packs a big punch.  It is refreshing and fun and festive.

I love bubbly, whether it’s champagne, sparkling wine, cava or in this instance prosecco.  Prosecco is a sparkling wine from Italy and it leans towards the sweeter side, which pairs nicely with the popsicle.

The popsicle melts into the prosecco as you drink it.  You can eat the popsicle as you drink the bubbly or simply let the popsicle melt into the drink.  There are no rules except enjoy yourself.

If you do not drink alcoholic beverages or you want the kids to join in the fun you can always substitute the prosecco with sparkling water, lemon lime soda, cider, lemonade, etc.

There is no recipe per se for this patriotic popsicle prosecco refresher, simply pour, dunk, drink and enjoy!

Do you spy something in the background?   Yup, we have some changes in the veggie garden which I will share real soon.  We are still finalizing it but we are super excited with the change.

In other news, I finally migrated my blog from Typepad to WP. So although it might have seemed like I wasn’t working that much on the blog here I was actually working behind the scenes. You know- the not so fun stuff. Anyway, there are still some glitches and many broken links and I am working through it. Please bare with me, but I am just super excited all my content and images landed safely as opposed to the fiasco a few months ago. Technology – it’s a love hate.

I understand the love, hate… so aggravating when things do not work as we intend for them to. I think my husband would love this, he was talking about bomb pops a few weeks ago, and I am betting a sparkling white grape juice would work too!

I love hearing from you!
