Do you like to decorate for the seasons but don’t want to spend a ton of money or time? This project is perfect then! Just with a few items you can make this too, which can be easily changed for the season or holiday. Here are the super easy steps to a frame wreath tutorial.

I created this frame wreath with the fast approaching Valentine’s Day in mind, but for all the heart lovers in the house it can be for anytime. With just a few items you can create this super fast and easy wreath. You can also adapt it fir any holiday. You can see. more ideas at the end of the post. The supplies simply include a frame, florals, ribbon and in this case a plush heart.
Some of the basic items you will need to create your frame wreath…
The frame is a vintage frame I have had for awhile and use in different vignettes and it has the perfect scale for this project. The frame is actually what inspired me, since I have been purging things from my home and it was either use it or get rid of it. I love the frame so much and didn’t want to get rid of it but it needed a purpose. Now it does, and I can switch it out with seasonal touches. Thrift stores and flea markets are great resources for obtaining unique frames.

For the florals I used a bunch of eucalyptus I picked up at TJs for a few dollars, but you can use any flower or greenery you choose. The florals can be fresh or dried or faux. This is a total preference for your aesthetic.
Tutorial instructions to create your frame wreath…
First I trimmed the ends of the eucalyptus branches. Using the rubber band that comes with the bunch, wrap in neatly around the ends to keep them together.

I then used ribbon to wrap around the rubber band to hide it and secure the eucalyptus bunch around the frame.

I used a criss cross design with the ribbon since that’s what seemed to work the best with my frame.

I then secured the ribbon to the back of the frame by tying a knot to hang the bunch tightly from the frame. This creates the foundation for your frame wreath. Pretty easy so far huh?

Lastly I hung the sweet plush heart to give it the romantic Valentine’s feels. This heart happens to have a ribbon loop to easily hang it from the frame. If you decor does not have that, simply use another coordinating ribbon to attach it to the frame.

I love dried flora and hanging upside down like this will create a favorable situation for flowers and greenery to dry nicely. Time will tell…

The wreath hangs in the dining room and gives just a hint of the Valentine’s Day holiday. And of course no Valentine’s isn’t complete with chocolate and candy treats.

I have plenty more Valentine’s Day decor ideas and some table settings planned, which I will be sharing over the next few days.
