The holidays are behind us, but we still have plenty of long, cold winter days ahead of us. I had wanted to set a festive beverage station during the Christmas season but alas between all the other holiday doings I never got to it. Just keeping it real folks.
Once I put all the Christmas decorations away I decided it was the perfect opportunity to add this fun hot beverage station to keep some merriment and fun going into the new year.
Everything is barren and cleaned up from the glitz and glamour of the holiday season so this is the perfect way to inject some fun around our home. There are clean surfaces all around so why not carve out an area we can all enjoy on the daily? We are still in SIP in California so we spend plenty of time at home.
The hot beverage station lends itself to coffee and hot chocolate all the way to adults beverages like hot buttered rum and Irish coffee. 🙂 Something for everybody, the big and the small. Something for the morning and something for the afternoon. Yes, days can get long during a SIP winter.
And if I were to be perfectly honest it hasn’t been that terribly cold in Northern California. It dips into the 30s but by midday we enjoy 60 degree weather pushing towards 70. But that being said, the mornings and evenings do still have a nip in the air and that’s when we partake in this fun beverage station.
There are cups and vessels of differing sizes depending on your beverage of choice along with a variety of fixings. So far it’s gotten quite a bit of use so it will probably stick around for awhile.
I have a few projects looming on my list and I really need to get going on them. Some are for Valentine’s, others are organizational, also some are furniture refurbishments plus some bigger home remodel projects.
Some days I am overwhelmed by it all, but I am just going to go, day by day, and try to enjoy the process. Sitting down and sipping one of these yummy, warm drinks while I organize my thoughts and projects on paper is always very therapeutic. I am a list maker and I think many can relate to that.
Today is a rainy day around here so I am now off to tackle some items on that list with a hot cup of coffee in my hands…
It’s suppose to rain all next week which {I can’t believe I am saying|writing this} I am looking forward to it, since it is much needed around here this winter. The rain will help our garden, which finishing our front yard project is one of the tasks on my list. You can read more about our front yard project here{as 2020 unraveled}, here{front yard sitting area} and here{the hogwire fence project}.
Wishing everyone warm and cozy winter vibes.
“Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.”

Thanks Kathleen! I found that silver tier stand years ago while thrifting. I originally bought it to sell in my booth but decided to keep it instead. 🙂. Not a good way to run a business 🤷♀️but I loved it too. And I got it for a steal!! Thanks for stopping by sweet friend. XO- MJ
I love how the tiered tray is adorned with tea cups and coffee mugs and everything else is so cutely organized.
Thank you for sharing with us at Meraki Link Party at Doodle Buddies. Drop by this evening to join the next Meraki Party..
