I set the table aprés the Holidays with a winter vibe as we start off January with high hopes for this new year. 🤞🏼Yes, I am sticking to high hopes.
Snowflakes and snowballs adorn the table and I used a mix of winter whites, grays and silvers throughout. There’s a mix of everyday-ware with touches of fancy.
The plate stack starts with thrifted silver trays as chargers {which I also used here and here} followed by our wedding china dinner plate, which is then followed by a Wonki Ware salad | accent plate and then followed with a silver bread plate which is topped with a gray check napkin adorned with a German glass glitter snowflake ornament.
I love how these snowflakes have patina’d over the years. You can read all the details here and here. The color they have antiqued to is everything!
The place settings are all arranged with a square, gray placemat which sit on top of a linen white tablecloth.
Down the middle of the table there’s a gray silk runner to anchor the centerpiece. The centerpiece has mercury glass pedestal bowls with faux snowballs and white milk glass compotes with white flowers.
I love the winter white vibe the centerpiece setting gives off and of course I had to add some twinkle light magic with some mercury glass votives sprinkled throughout.
I also used milk glass goblets, which I use often. They are my go-to water goblets on many tables around here.
The flatware is a thrifted silver plate set I acquired during my consigning days and I never sold it off. I love how it has tarnished through the years.
One of the tricks I use to cover grower pots in my decor is to wrap them in sheet music. I always have old sheet music I pick up while thrifting or at vintage stores, garage sales etc. It’s so much prettier than a plastic pot. 😉
I love pretty tables and setting the mood for the season or the occasion.
