I hope everyone had a beautifully blessed Easter with your loved ones. Or maybe you are enjoying your passover holiday but whatever it may be, wishing peace to all.
We started our day with church and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the service. Our pastor is young and energetic, making his messages relatable and relevant to today’s lifestyle. It really helps the Masterpiece children to understand how and why religion weaves through our everyday lives.
We followed church with brunch at home. Little {not so little anymore but she will always be my baby girl} miss Masterpiece helped me make eggs Benedict, my home fried potatoes, and fresh fruit salad.
Mister Masterpiece prepared yummy mimosas to compliment the brunch meal.
Afterwards we all relaxed on the patio for awhile, talking and enjoying the beautiful weather Mother Nature graced upon us. We recently planted our vegetable garden and started to prepare our containers for another great season after the long rains we had this year. I’ll be sharing some gardening posts real soon.
After a bit we started prepping for round two. Lol. There’s no rest for the weary. My Easter dinner menu has been pretty stable for the last few years with lamb chops, couscous, and cucumber salad.
I always inject interest and variations with my appetizers and desserts. And of course, like always we had waaaay to much food, but that’s what holidays are all about, right?
I cannot believe it’s almost May! 2019 is flying by and although it has been a pretty good year for us we cannot lose sight of the tragedies that have happened around us and across the world. I feel truly blessed in my little footprint of the universe and this season of rebirth is always the reminder I need.
I love to open my home to family and friends, sharing life, laughter and love. And thank you to all of you for visiting me here in my petite cyber home.
If you missed it you can see how I set the table for this Easter celebration here.
I love your Easter vignettes! Everything is just Beautiful!!
