reflections into 2018

Hope everyone had a very merry holiday season with their loved ones.  We had a wonderful Christmas around here with much merriment, family and friends.
Now life is slowly getting back to a normalized routine and schedule again.
Next week when the Masterpiece children head back to school, I’ll truly feel like I’m back in my zone.
I have so many dreams and aspirations for 2018.  I love the blank slate feeling a new year always brings.

Reflections2018

I want to organize so many rooms, cabinets & corners of our home, which involves purging stuff whether we donate, sell or simply throw it away.
Once this is done my hope is it spring boards into redecorating, remodeling or simply redoing spaces in the house and garden.

I also want to try so many new recipes, shaking up my menu planning, which I’m the first to admit it has become a bit stale.  Preparing the usual meals is easy and comfortable and…boring.  So I’ll be shaking it up in the kitchen, using my cookbooks, pinterest, magazines or wherever the inspiration manifests itself
Along with the new food in our home, I also want to explore new restaurants in our area near & far.  We are fortunate to have fabulous cuisine all around us so I want to take advantage of it even more so than we do already.

In order to support all this exploratory eating I’ll also have to maintain a regular workout routine.  LOL.  But more so than for simply my weight it’s more for my health in general.  Exercise not only keeps our bodies in good shape but our minds sharp as well.  The benefits are endless really.

I also want to read more books.  I dream of traveling more in 2018.  I hope to see more movies and live entertainment.
There are so any other things I want to do this year and as I was reviewing the list and writing all this out and organizing it in my head, my one little word for 2018 came to me…{DO}.
These are all things I want to {DO} in 2018, whether for the first time or more of, but I want to {DO} them.
Here are my one little words from previous years:  2017{happy}; 2016{timely}; 2015{active}

As I get these things done and i {DO} them I will share along with you here on my blog.  I’m really excited for 2018!
