or whatever you call it and however you celebrate it, i hope everbody is safe and sound.
I’ll be home with some family handing out candy and watching the world series.
Said family does NOT include Master and Miss Masterpiece, who will be with their respective friends.
Master Masterpiece is not dressing up for the first time and a halloween party has replaced trick or treating.
It’s the end of a 15 year old era and truth be told it makes me very sad and nostalgic.
But time marches on and I really can’t complain because he’s healthy and happy.
Miss Masterpiece is dressing as Holy Cows! with her crew. Cow socks and a white T-shirt with cow spots plus a halo. Pretty cute I have to admit.
I’m hoping I’ll get some pictures since she’s trick or treating at a friends house which is a different neighborhood. Most years we were the hosts since we live in a great area but alas not this year.
When we first started hosting years ago when my Masterpieces were really young I would just order pizza but somewhere along the line I started making a huge pot of chili and that’s our tradition now.
This year I’m making ground turkey chili which is a first; it seems to be a year of many changes for this holiday around here and I’m embracing it because some day these will be the good old days!
“When black cats prowl and pumpkins gleam, may luck be yours on halloween.”
Thanks amber. I love those pumpkins too & I’m getting my money’s worth cuz I’ve used them from sept thru thanksgiving just by changing small details like the skulls. xo- mj
Holy cows — too cute! This year was our first with no one dressing up so I know what you mean. Love your white pumpkins and the Halloween bottle brush tree! Thanks for sharing at Vintage Charm:)

Black and white with no accent color is so much fun and you’ve kicked it up a notch. The crow on the skeleton’s shoulder, the red eyes on the gigantic spider and the wreath are just so much fun. Thank you for sharing with us this week at Celebrate Your Story, and I hope your week is going great.
What a great post! I really love the two white “Ghost” pumpkins with the skeleton head on top!
