Sounds pretty simple right? Who doesn’t want to be happy?
Well, it’s harder than it seems. I learned this first hand last year. Life is not always rainbows & unicorns but I’m making the conscious decision to be happy, even when something less desirable occurs, bringing as much sunshine into my life as possible.
I’m choosing to make lemonade when life gives me lemons each and every time. For me. For my husband. For my marriage. For my son. For my daughter. For my dog. For my home. For my family. For everyone and for everything in my life.
It’s not only what happens to you in life but even more importantly it’s how you behave and react to what happens to you. It not easy but it’s worth it. We only get one chance at this thing called life. And I plan to enjoy as much of it as I can.
“Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make you happy until you choose to be happy. No person will make you happy unless you decide to be happy. Your happiness will not come to you. It can only come from you. “
Oh my gosh Mary Jo I lOVE this! Truer words were never spoken about how we have to make happiness a choice. And it IS hard….I applaud you for your lemonade-making skills! And thanks for sharing this lovely sentiment with us at Vintage Charm!
