thanksgiving tablescape 2015

Thanksgiving tablescape1
I’m so happy I have my tablescape for this year finalized!
Thanksgiving tablescape2
I started with a crisp linen white table cloth & then topped it with the grain sack motif runner I got last year.
Thanksgiving tablescape3
I anchored the center piece with dried hydrangeas in my cast iron window box planter.
Then I added the pheasant feathers to give it dimension & texture.
Thanksgiving tablescape4
The centerpiece is flanked on each side with my parent’s silver candelabras and a pedestal plate w/ my faux white pumpkins.
You can see how I made these pumpkins from the Dollar Tree here.
You can see my exercise with pedestal plates & pumpkins for a tablescape here.
Thanksgiving tablescape5
For the place settings I started with my copper chargers.
You can read about my copper journey here.
Thanksgiving tablescape6
And of course my Johnson Bros. plates that always grace our Thanksgiving table.
Thanksgiving tablescape7
Not sure if I’ve shared the pattern here before.  I love them and I also have the ginormous platter that’s perfect for the turkey.
I inherited this set from my parents as well {they entertained A LOT}.
I just wish they were still here to share all this with me but we will remember them on this day of thanks.
I’m very proud of my ancestry and love the legacy we are creating.
Thanksgiving tablescape8
The place setting also includes my parent’s water goblets & sterling silver flatware.
Mr. M got me the monogrammed, white linen napkins years ago from William-Sonoma.
The wine crystal glasses are from our wedding registry.
Thanksgiving tablescape9
I created the place cards by printing vintage postcards with everyone’s name on them.
They are placed at everyone place setting with vintage floral frogs.
Thanksgiving tablescape10
I stamped the back so we can all write what we are thankful for.
I’ve done this the last couple of years & I love to read what we wrote year to year.
You can see what I did for 2014 & 2013.
Thanksgiving tablescape11
Now that my tablescape is done, I can focus on the menu and other details around the house.
Thanksgiving tablescape12
Are you ready for turkey day?
