good-bye summer…hello fall

School is back in session.
Labor day has come & gone, shutting down the door on summer firmly.
I’ve tried to get into an autumnal festive spirit, but this northern California weather with temps over 100 degrees has made it challenging…
..but let me back up a bit.
Our summer ended in grand fashion & I chose to be present as a mother & a wife.
My son’s baseball team had the fabulous experience of qualifying for the world series of their division.
Lliws 1
Master Masterpiece has the red arrow pointing at him.  We had a fabulous group of boys with great families and it was an experience we will never forget.
Lliws 2
It was an amazing journey for the entire family.  So very proud of my boy.
The flip side is that our summer consisted of baseball, and more baseball, striving to make it to the world series.  Finally having it come to an end was a a bit sad but I quickly booked us a family vacation.
Cabo
Our last hurrah of the summer before Master and Miss Masterpiece started school.
I love Cabo.  Time to chill, unwind, drink, eat & basically do nothing.
Just what the Dr. ordered.
When we got back it was back to the grind.
1st day of school
I love the 1st day of school.
All the anticipation it brings.
A fresh, new start, with so many opportunities.
But before we hit the school year full stride, we have the labor day reprieve.
Monterey
Another family escape to Monterey.
I torture my family with the family selfie every where we go.  LOL
Anyway, once we got back i was ready to switch gears.
Fall 2
Fall was always my favorite season growing up.
I started tweaking around the house.
Fall 3
Just a few simple touches.
Fall 1
The weather didn’t make it feel like autumn, but pumpkins started popping up all over the place.
Fall 5
I found these white pumpkins at my local grocery store,
And the stems got me.
Fall 4
Of course I had to bring some home.
The weather finally turned this week so I’ll be adding some more fall touches real soon.
Happy decorating!
