So I have some catching up to do & many posts in my head that never made it to my fingertips and keyboard. So instead of a super duper loooong post I’m thinking of making subsequent posts for the next few days & hopefully catch up. We’ll see how it goes. To my defense I have posted some stuff in between so I haven’t been totally off .
Spring break was about a month ago (I said I had some catching up to do) and since it got sandwiched between hubby’s business trip and a visit from grandma & grandpa we just stole some days away into the city. We acted very much like tourists since there was so much the kids hadn’t seen or done. Something that was a first for all of us was “ride the ducks”. What is that you ask? It’s a 1/2 bus ride 1/2 boat ride through the city & bay. Think Chitty Chitty Bang Bang on steroids. It was the Giants opening day so we were in the bay behind the stadium amongst all the yachts. Fun! Our driver was a huge Giants fan & he was all over it!

Fun way to see the city in a hurry. We stayed in Fisherman’s Wharf so of course we explored Pier 39 and had to visit Mocha’s aquatic relatives.
Compliments of the sea bass. Not bad huh? Amongst the sights the kids really wanted to check out the bay aquarium.

And the wax museum.
He’s real. {wink}

And the mechanical museum.

And a submarine.
And a battleship.

Yes, we were busy and we made the best of our three days. And although we played the tourist card pretty hard we did start the journey as locals @ Jack’s pub. Matt & I had been here before the kiddos (yes that’s quite awhile ago), but we were at it’s door at the right time & we ducked in for some lunch & pool.

And no trip to San Francisco is complete without a cable car ride.

Stay tuned….
