This year’s 1st workshop focuses on mists & masks. We’ll use mists with masks, templates, and diecut (holey) cardstock; plus we’ll talk about how to use punches or old letter stickers or the negative space of items with mists maximizing the use of our supplies.
We’ll create a 2-page 12×12 and a 1-page 12×12 layout.

Here are the supplies used:
creative imaginations holey card stock ~ black swirl
prism 12×12 cardstock ~ white
basic grey designer card stock ~ practical/mustard
tim holtz mini mask ~ regal
maya road mists ~ silver & black
the crafters workshop template ~ starflower
Basically with this technique you are creating your own patterned paper which can be grunge or shabby or whatever you want it to be. The possibilities are endless.
Side bar ~ my one little word for 2010 is {declutter}, hence the single page layout above. A few year’s back I picked up on Ali Edward’s one word philosopy. So basically every year instead of making a new year’s resolution, which will be quickly broken or forgotten, I select a word to focus on for the year. This year I want to {declutter} my home, my brain, my purse, my car….you get the idea. I guess it goes hand in hand with my 2009 word “simply”. The year before that it was “order”. and the year before that it was “balance” when I started the annual one word philosophy. I chose to scrapbook them for two reasons, 1) to document them 2) to commit to them.
That’s a good word for 2010. My word is “complete.” As in, complete projects, complete my house.
