Good Friday

So today we had our Easter egg hunt with our mother’s group.  It’s been raining here most of the week so we thought we might have to cancel it, BUT one of my awesome mommy friends offered up her house & we were still able to have our annual tradition.  Usually we have 40-50 kids running around a giant field but since we changed the venue it turned out to only be about 20 kids; still A LOT to be running around one home looking for sugar filled eggs.  It went rather beautifully.  We had some play time, some egg hunt time, some egg dye time & some more play time.  All in all, a pretty good time was had by all.  Auntie Fabianna joined us which is always an added plus.  Here is some of the evidence:

Checking out his loot.  Notice all of Sebi’s eggs are blue & green?  The past couple of years we have labeled all the eggs A-Z & assigned a letter to each kid in order to slow down the hunt.  I was skeptical at 1st, but gotta admit it turned out to be a great idea.  This year since we were a bit more lax in the smaller group setting, we simply assigned colors to the kids.  Worked wonderfully as well.

Lexi girl had pink & purple.  Of course!!  There were eggs hidden all over the house & I’m sure my girlfriend will be finding them for months to come.  good times!

By the way, it’s not a coincidence that we’re all wearing brown tops.  I know, I can’t help myself…..
