more layouts

I promised I would post layouts from the crop I attended 2 weekends ago (I know running a bit behind), so here are a couple more.  This first one is from when my sweet Lexi got her ears pierced.  I had wanted a pediatrician (you know, the nervous mom thing) to do it when she was about 6 months old, but for one reason or another I kept canceling the appointment.  My pediatrician did not perform the procedure but a friend recommended another practice that did.  Well, since I didn’t know the doctors at all, after canceling 3 times, I decided to stop bugging them.  When Lexi was about 15 months grandma & grandpa decided they wanted to buy Lexi her first earings so we took her to Claire’s at the mall & did the honors.  We picked little bling studs for her and once they had done their duty we upgraded Lexi to my pearl screwbacks that I wore during my childhood.  In Uruguay baby girls get their ears pierced, it just happens, it’s the way it’s done.  I explain this because to some people this might seem very young but for me it just was.  There was no thinking about should we or shouldn’t we, it was just a matter of where & how.  SO here’s the story…

On this layout I used Scenic Route pattern paper, Karen Russell pattern paper & stickers, Heidi Swapp clear letters, bling frames&crowns and chipboard shapes, Basic Gray rub-ons, 7Gypsies stickers, Stampin’ Up! alphabet stamps and other various stickers & bling.
On a more seasonal note here’s the pumpkin patch 2 years ago.  This layout was inspired by Ali Edwards.  If I remember correctly it’s from her “A Designer’s Eye for Scrapbooking with Patterned Paper” book.

Sorry ~ got interrupted! 🙂 Didn’t get a chance to comment on the baby bling page. That is just too cute and she looks like she made it through just fine. Plus, I don’t think it’s odd at all. 😀 Maybe ’cause I live in south Florida. We have such a great cultural mix!
